Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to PlayM3U ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use our website and browser-based manifest testing tool.
2. How the tester works (client-side)
When you use the M3U/M3U8 tester in your browser, playlist parsing and the URLs you enter for playback checks are processed locally in your device. We do not receive your playlist file or those test URLs as data uploaded to our servers for storage or replay on our side.
Network requests your browser makes to third-party stream origins (CDNs, encoders, etc.) follow normal internet routing; those endpoints are controlled by their operators, not by PlayM3U.
3. Information we collect (website)
Operating the public website may involve:
- Server and CDN logs: typical technical data such as IP address, user agent, requested path, and timestamps.
- Google Analytics 4: aggregated traffic and usage metrics. You can use our cookie controls and your browser settings to limit cookies where applicable.
- Cookies and similar technologies: for essential functionality, analytics, and (where enabled) advertising.
4. Advertising
Google and other vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site and others. You can learn more about Google's use of advertising cookies at Google's Advertising Policies.
5. CCPA
California residents may have rights to know, delete, and opt out of certain sales/sharing under the CCPA. Contact us at the email below for requests.
